This beautiful lady is Kristen Blois. She is a 41 year old mother of 3 beautiful girls (aged 15, 12, and 9), wife to a beautiful husband (no age disclosure) and she is someone who has dedicated her entire adult working career to children. Kristen has owned and supported a home daycare in the Quesnel area for the past 6 years. She is also battling cancer.
In July of 2020 she found a lump which she investigated quickly. On August 7th she was diagnosed with cancer. At first it was thought that Kristen would only need radiation and hormone treatment, however due to the aggressive nature of this triple positive breast cancer Kristen will also be receiving weekly chemo treatments (for 12 weeks) and Herceptin every three weeks for the next year.
Kristen will need to close her daycare for (at the very least) 12-15 weeks. It could be longer depending on her energy levels after treatment. The daycare is a significant source of income for this family.
My goal is to raise 20000 dollars in the next month for the Blois family. This would provide the lost income for them so that they could focus on getting Kristen well. Stress is not good for illness, and it is my desire (and I hope yours as well) to eliminate the worry of food, bills, Christmas for this wonderful family.
We always wonder what we can do to help those who are ill. This is what we can do. Will you join me?
