Care for Jessie Moore

UPDATE FROM JESSIE:
Hey everyone! I have one week left in the hospital, as of tomorrow; I'm coming home April 4th! The overwhelming anxiety and excitement I have in coming home is insane! My physical therapy is progressing well. Though I have a long way to grow and my rib fractures are apparently going to take a very long time to heal, my pain has been slowly subsiding.

I am SO excited to come home and bake and garden, and just spend time w my kids. I've already stocked up on arts and crafts to do with all of them, and I'm super excited to school them all, haha.

I'm pretty nervous coming home during the whole quarantine, but I'll have to make sure to be safe, therefore won't really be allowing anyone to be come over no matter how hard I want to.

I ended up doing rehab here at the Leon S. Peters rehabilitation facility at CRMC which means I didn't get my dream of being with my grandma; they didnt accept me, as they had a flu outbreak (not COVID-19) in their facility at the time. After finding blisters on the backs of my feet when I got here, it seems it may have been a good thing i didnt head to skilled nursing, plus I pushed through the pain and now I get to go home quicker.

I have a few great friends that have been doing everything for me, preparing for my homecoming, and one who will be coming to stay with me as a caregiver round the clock. Preparing the house to be in order has been a task to say the least; I am so grateful to my friend Ryan who has been caring for my kids, my animals, and preparing my house for my homecoming; he's the real MVP, and I super appreciate everybody's hand in helping me out.. the community support has been quite amazing.

That's about all for now. Can't wait for distancing to be over, I'll definitely be having big social BBQs as soon as it's safe out there! Love you all so much, ta ta for now!

Let's keep the funds coming.  Jessie and her family are going to need it.

Original post...
If you do not know Jessie, lemme try to sum up her life. She lost her mom at a young age very tragically. In her mid twenties she lost her sister as wel .

Jessie didnt hesitate to change her life immediately and take on her young niece and nephew.  To this day she has raised them on her own, as her own and never looked back.

2.5 years ago Jessie's (then 77 yr old) grandmother was robbed and beaten so severely that she incurred severe brain trauma. Once again Jessie jumped and rearranged her life (now with kids in tow) to become a full time caretaker for her grandma.

On Feb 20th Jessie was in a horrible car accident and was airlifted to the hospital.  Here injuries are severe and Jessie is paralyzed from the waist down. She still manages to be her smiling joyful self and even this cant break her spirit.

Jessie needs to rehabilitate in a nursing facility. Currently her grandmother is in a facility that Jessie would love to go to. Then they can be together again.

Sadly her insurance may not cover the cost of this facility and she would have to pay out of pocket.  She would much prefer to be with her grandmother and will need help to do so.

She also needs assistance modifying her home and caring for her children.
Any donation of any kind would be so warmly welcome.

Jessie is the last person to ask for anything.  She is very independent and is now realizing it is time to reach out to others.

If you can not make a donation we would be more than happy if you simply share this message...
