A little about Gizmo: I adopted Gizmo when he was just 2 years old. I wasn't doing well mentally and needed a reason to keep going and feel less lonely. The moment I laid eyes on Gizmo, I knew we'd be best friends. We would go on walks together, learn new tricks, take naps, and even eat together! Gizmo did so much for me and showed me what unconditional love is, so much so that he became my emotional support animal! He is so loving and gentle with everyone; he won't even rip up his stuffed animals because he loves them too much. There are not enough good things I can say about him. Unfortunately, Gizmo started feeling unwell; he had trouble walking, wasn't as interested in his food and toys, and would cry in pain when trying to walk outside to use the bathroom. After meeting with a neurologist, it was confirmed that Gizmo is going to need spinal surgery due to a herniated disc, caused by IVDD. Surgery can't wait, and he will be getting an MRI followed by surgery. Sadly, his pet insurance is not covering any of it since they consider IVDD an "incurable" condition, which is why I'm hoping to raise money to help pay for his surgery as well as all the medications and treatments that he will need on his road to recovery. I also uploaded a picture of the estimate for his surgery as well as one from his X-rays. I hope you all know how much we appreciate every donation and share, it means the world to me and helps Gizmo more than you could ever imagine!
