Hello friends, this is Anette. Some of you may know me from school, the music and arts scene, or from my work as a community organizer for national democracy and Filipino migrant rights. You'll typically see me posting fundraisers for disaster relief in the Philippines, community organizations, or directly for migrants' hospitalization or court costs. But today, I need help.
Due to unforeseen circumstances and complications with my landlord company, my housemate and I have decided to relocate after just 6 months of being at our new place. Additionally, my 18 year old chihuahua, Dodger, has a fatty tumor on his arm which requires his arm to be amputated. While he is eligible for surgery as the SD Humane Society community vet program actually screened his health, his age may make it difficult for him to survive the surgery, so we may also have to consider end of life care. If he survives the surgery, then we would have to invest in prosthetics and spend a lot of time with him while he adjusts to missing an arm. The timing of all of this is extremely unfortunate and has created a huge financial burden for us.
You all should know how much I really hate to ask for money LOL but if I've ever hosted you in my home, or you've felt any joy from meeting Dodger in person or online please consider donating even a little bit as anything helps. He's the sweetest guy ever, I've had him since I was 9, and I will do anything to make him happy for the rest of his life. Thank you! Venmo: @ant-rm if logging in is too much effort lol.
