Our precious mom, Diane Nesbitt, is entering into advanced stages of Dementia related to Alzheimer’s. The next step is full-time professional care, the cost of which far exceeds what Verne and the family can afford.
During the era in which Verne attended seminary, students were commonly taught that for those called to full-time ministry, participation in Social Security was a lack of faith. As a result, Verne always opted out in every pastoral role he filled. This has contributed to the fact that he and Diane have been left with a very small pool of resources in their latter years. While the Lord has always faithfully provided throughout their entire lives, we believe that His provision for this next stage of life may, in part, come from the body of Christ at large.
Verne & Diane have had a Kingdom impact on innumerable people around the globe in their 62+ years of marriage and ministry; if you’ve been touched by their lives, you can now touch theirs.
In our area, the average care faculty for Diane’s condition costs approximately $72,000 per year. Raising one year’s worth of care is a lofty goal, virtually impossible without a miracle. We would be incredibly grateful if you would pray for a miracle of provision for them!
