Help Support Legendary Poster Artist David Singer’s Care

For the past six years, my husband Christopher and I have been caring for our dear friend, renowned poster artist David Singer. David is one of the last living artists from the original psychedelic rock poster movement of the 1960s—a generation of artists whose work helped define the visual culture of an era.

Many people know David through his extraordinary posters. His work—bold, collage-driven, surreal, mythic, humorous, and poetic—captured the spirit of the counterculture movement and continues to inspire collectors and artists around the world.

But beyond the art, David is a deeply loved human being whose presence has touched many lives.

As David’s health has declined due to dementia and other complex medical needs, we recently reached a point where we believed he needed professional memory care. He was admitted to a private facility, but unfortunately the arrangement did not work out for several reasons, including the high cost, the distance from home, and the level of care he required.

After careful reflection, we made the decision to bring David back home.

Our goal is for David to spend this stage of his life in a familiar and loving environment, surrounded by people who care deeply for him. We will continue to be his primary caregivers while also bringing in visiting home health nurses and skilled care professionals to help manage his medical needs.

This fundraiser will help us:

• Recoup a portion of the recent memory care expenses

• Hire a skilled home health nurse to assist with David’s care

• Provide occasional respite care for us as full-time caregivers

• Ensure David receives compassionate, attentive care in the comfort of his home

David has given so much to the artistic community over the decades. His posters and artwork have brought inspiration and beauty to countless people.
