Hey all, Kayla here. If you know me, you know how much my animals mean to me. When I was 17, my family adopted the sweetest boy from BARCS Animal Shelter. He was actually supposed to be euthanized the next day, but he came home with us! Coby lives in Baltimore with my little brother Nick and sister McKenna.

A few months ago, my siblings found a mass on his leg that turned out to be cancerous. He went through surgery to have it removed, and he was doing great!

Last night, he took a tumble and broke his femur. My sweet siblings have already fronted the cost for his cancer care. So with the broken bone, it's become a lot. My little brother fronted most of this out of pocket. We aren't really a family who likes to ask for help, but anything will help get Coby's medical bills and recovery taken care of.
