Care for Christina

Donation protected
Christina was admitted on Sunday, Nov, 6th for another stroke caused by a Right internal Carotid Dissection this time. She is still critical in the hospital fighting for her life. This occurred after she battled her 4th bout of COVID and the FLU all of October. Christina has had several really serious life-threatening conditions already for many years. They have debilitated her body and pocket financially. One main thing is a Common Variable Immune Defenciey where the cells are missing the parts to your body's ability to fight infections and also affect every organ system in your body including your bones, leading to bone pain, thinning bones, and broken bones, sepsis, cancer cells, etc. All of which she has faced! She also fights several autoimmune diseases such as lupus, Hashimoto's, pancreatic insufficiency, Addison's disease, and some others. While there have been life-changing physical effects due to having CVID, along with several autoimmune diseases such as mixed connective tissue disease, organ damage, autonomic dysfunction, having to stop working, go on home health, being homebound, ongoing IV treatment for immunoglobulins every 3 weeks and now daily fluids for the past 10 years, the financial effects have also been life-altering. She is accessed in her power port basically 24/7. She has had a port for 10yrs due to the intense IV therapy she has been on every 3 weeks for 10 years. Below is a little glimpse into who Christina is, the fight that she's been waging, and a look at how this has affected her financially. Please give generously and know that 100% of the money you donate will go directly to Christina's care (minus the fees) to help her meet her financial and treatment needs.

In January 2022 she got covid for the 2nd time and had strokes as well as had 2 major arteries in her brain dissected, the Left Internal Carotid Artery and Right vertebral Artery one week apart, which increased her risk a lot more for even more strokes, which is why she had several. This acute last stroke Nov 2022 has affected the 3rd major artery that supplies blood to the brain, the Right Internal Carotid Artery. She has been very lucky to be able to speak again, and regain some strength. Even when she does go home it will require a long road of healing in every sense of the word especially physically since she can't use half of her body. They are in need of people to help build ramps and also put in hardwood flooring so she can use a wheelchair and walker in the house. They are renting but if they can come up with the help and the funds the landlord is ok with the modifications.

This whole year Christina has been in and out of the hospital for various very serious life-threatening things (Strokes, sepsis, infections, breaks, tears, arteritis, uveitis, polynephritis, anaphylaxis). Which has put a strain on the family financially with all bills. On top of that, the family van was T boned in January while Jason was driving with Riley. They both had post-accident issues and medical debt. He was out of work for 3 months himself doing therapy, concussion therapy, etc as was Riley. As a firefighter, his job is very strenuous. They didn't have their van for 3 months either in the midst of Christina fighting for her life against the first dissections. So they had to get rentals which were very expensive as well. Right now they are currently behind on everything including, Utility payments, and medical and could use some help with catching up and keeping the lights on, food, and the water running along with new goals of house modifications. Anything is a blessing right now. Working in public service and serving the people, really shows time and time how much they care for others. We really want them to know they are loved and cherished for their service. Christina is still fighting for her life In ICU please consider donating and helping this family.

Christina is always the first one to help meet a need or send an encouraging word. Jason is a first responder serving the community every day with his life and time with limited pay.
About Christina:
First, she's the mom of 2 teen girls and a fluffy doodle (but loves to gather the extras!). She loves to help others and pray with them, bless them, and encourage them. She has a spirit of discernment has a passion for seeing people whole: spirit, soul, and body. She has the vision to have a ministry that helps others get healed and free in every area of their lives. She hopes to one day have land to start a healing retreat to bring this to pass, along with starting Christina's Caring box which has items for people who are healing.
Financial Impact:
When you are on constant therapies it's very draining in every sense. Every day is a battle with your body and mind to push and keep going. She has taught herself how to make things to try to bring in money for food or gifts and also to bless others with her blessing of craft. Iv therapy, home health, fresh allergy food, supplements, etc. are not cheap. Her girls also have celiac disease and so everything in their house is gluten-free. This is already much more expensive. Take into account that they had to let their house go to get a one-story because Christina could no longer crawl up and down the stairs to tuck the kids in bed. She would fall down the stairs with the kids in her arms so much and hurt herself. So they rent with mounting medical bills all the time. The girls also have some medical chronic illnesses that have shown themselves wracking up medical debt and putting a lot on Jason to carry. Christina will need long-term care help now but first, it will take an inpatient physical therapy program which is very expensive. At the moment she isn't stable enough but they are looking for facilities. We are hoping she gets the use of her left side and her brain function completely back. Last week she died and came back to life, this can occur again at any time as she is still bleeding out from the hematomas and needing daily transfusions.

Here is the information for the utilities in case you wanted to pay directly. If you can do Venmo or cash app or Zelle it's preferred since gofundme takes a bunch of fees.

If you would like to provide other funds you can do so down below or if you choose to buy groceries there is a link to amazon and Walmart or Wegmans. there are not a lot of allergy-safe options on GrubHub so grocery gift cards to Walmart, Wegmans, Kroger, and target have been very helpful. They all have a good supply usually of allergy-safe food.

Venmo is chris-Karr-11 since there are no fees if you do friends and family, be careful not to hit goods and services it is charging fees.
