Care for Chloe ~ from Remission to Relapse

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Chloe & I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my story.
I am fundraising because I really need your help to support myself, and my boy, through another cancer journey, as I’ve, once again, relapsed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.

I am a solo mumma to my beautiful 12yo son Ryder, who I adore and is my biggest inspiration. I’m determined to do absolutely everything in my power not to let NHL beat me and to have the opportunity to love & support my boy through his life, which is something I once never had to contemplate.

Some of you reading this may already remember that I was diagnosed with NHL in 2020. Now, 3.5 years on, I am, again, confronted with the disease I thought I’d conquered, having just been through major emergency surgery in January to remove a large lymphoma.

This time it feels even more serious & imperative to seek as much support as I can, as this lymphoma would have killed me if left any longer. I’ve realised that NHL is not as easily defeated as I’d liked to have believed the first time round.

I’ve been so determined & resolute since 2020, to stay on course, focus on my wellbeing, live a healthy lifestyle, have a positive mindset & just be the best human I can be, so this has come as a huge terrifying shock to me and those around me.

I’d been suffering from some fatigue & pain for the last year or so but assumed it was something minor, considering all my blood tests & scans have been normal, & how food/health conscious I am.

6 weeks ago I was ambulanced to Bunbury hospital, in severe pain, with a bowel obstruction. If only it had been detected the first time round when I presented to ED in April 2023, but unfortunately it wasn’t picked up at that time.

They decided to operate right away and removed a large growth (6x7cm) as well as part of my bowel. I’m still so thankful that I actually made it through that night as it was major surgery & the most pain I’ve ever experienced in my lifetime.

Just like the last time, the Heamatologists are suggesting immunotherapy, as the concern is that there are still some lymphoma cells in my lymph nodes.

So, alongside this conventional immunotherapy, like last time, I wish to integrate complementary treatments to give myself the best chance of living a long, healthy, pain-free life, & heal from cancer once and for all.

I don’t want to live the rest of my life in fear that this disease may take me away from those I love the most.

So, this is where my beautiful family, friends & wider community come in, to help support us, while we navigate all the uncertainty & challenges a cancer diagnosis & relapse brings.

Through the last donation's in 2020 I was able to support us through my recovery, and ultimately my remission at the time, with combined integrative therapies, as well as helping substantially, to subsidise my rent & bills whilst I was unwell, as well as contributing towards food, medication & supplements.

Once again, we appreciate and will be greatly humbled by any donation, as your generosity will enable me to find the best therapies & treatments to support us through the next few months.

Much Love Again ✨
