Two weeks ago, during this horrible weather we've been having in Virginia, Cheri was helping her older dog Oliver get back into the house. While she was reaching down to grab him, her foot slipped and she fell and sadly broke her pelvis. While she has excellent medical insurance, sadly it doesn't cover in-house assistance. Cheri lives alone with her two dogs and is very independent. She was able to cover the first week of round-the-clock care, but sadly, it is very expensive and has depleted her extra funds. She has been getting along barely with the help of a few friends nearby bringing her food and helping her out. Her friends feel that she is in need of much more in-home care until she's more recovered. The doctors told her it should be healed in four to six weeks.
