As many of you know our sweet Carter Dayne has had a rough go of it lately. Since roughly last November carter began to experience several episodes of nausea and diarrhea/stomach issues. After several visits to his general doctor it was requested that we get an appointment with a GI specialist. It's ironic how things work out because the night before his GI Specialist in Lafayette he was admitted to the hospital here in Lake Charles with excruciating stomach pain and vomiting. After a night in the ER we were released and set off to Lafayette for the GI appointment. Once there I can specifically remember the doctor stating that it is urgent we get him to Baton Rouge Our Lady of Lake Children's Hospital. We made the drive that same day and once there Carter has been through a whirlwind of things from fasting for several days, numerous vials of blood, stool samples as well as a full upper and lower scope. After all these tests he was diagnosed with colonitis with possible early stages of Chrons Disease. After a week in Baton Rouge we were released and sent home to try some medications for 10 days to get inflammation down inside his stomach. We are currently back in the hospital with same symptoms and as a parent we just want our Carter man back and fully healthy. With all of this there has occurred several expenses from 3 different hospitals, travel and lodging. I myself have taken a leave from work so I can be at my sons side. I'm usually not one to ask for help when it comes to these things but anything anyone can do would be greatly appreciated.
