Last night, on Christmas, our dear friends Beth and Janet experienced an unimaginable loss when their home caught fire. They are more than neighbors to many of us - they are chosen family, the kind of people who show up for others without being asked.

In a matter of hours, their lives have been turned upside down.

While the full extent of the damage is still being assessed, it is believed the home may be a total loss. Beth and Janet lost nearly everything — including beloved pets — along with the sense of safety and normalcy that a home provides. The heartbreak of this happening on Christmas makes it even harder to put into words.

This GoFundMe is to help support Beth and Janet with immediate needs: temporary housing, clothing, food, and the many unexpected expenses that follow a fire. Insurance, if available, takes time — and the days and weeks right now matter.
