Hey everyone, My name is Sam and most of you know my parents Paul and Barbara Gregg from Blythe for decades now. Yesterday evening while they were driving their motorhome from Blythe to Utah on US95, they were involved in an accident with a Semi totaling their RV. They both are ok as well as their 2 dogs, but my mom suffered a severely broken right ankle and a fractured left ankle. As most of you know US95 is not easy to get EMS and they were unfortunately stranded there for nearly 2 hours waiting for an ambulance. Once they arrived, my mom had to be life-flighted to Las Vegas, NV for emergency surgery. I was able to get ahold of an amazing friend from Blythe that drove to the accident site and picked up my parents dogs (Cody Dewitt) to whom I am incredibly thankful for. My dad was able to get a ride back to his truck and drive to Vegas to be with my mom, but he will eventually need a hotel near the hospital while my mom recovers from surgery.
All of this while being on a retired fixed income is the last thing I want my parents to have to worry about. I will also at some point once my mom is released need to fly to Phoenix and help my parents get settled back into their home and pick up their dogs from California to bring back to them. My mom will most likely need either rehab or some kind of in home help to gain her strength back and able to walk again.
At this current time I have no further information other than everyone is alive and safe, and recovering. If you are able to help in any way possible, it would much appreciated by us all. Thank you in advance for your donation and well wishes.
