We are humbly asking for support for Anita Macaraeg, a 68‑year‑old former caregiver who has spent her life caring for others — and now urgently needs help herself.
On March 27, 2026, Anita received the devastating diagnosis of Stage IV Rectal Cancer. What began as fatigue and abdominal discomfort quickly escalated into a life‑changing medical emergency. Tests revealed that the cancer had already spread beyond the rectum, making treatment more complex, aggressive, and costly.
For more than years, Anita worked as a caregiver, dedicating her life to supporting elderly patients, individuals with disabilities, and families in need. She was the kind of caregiver who stayed late, held hands during difficult moments, and treated every person she cared for like family. Her compassion was her calling — and she never expected that one day she would be the one needing help.
Today, Anita faces a long and challenging road. Stage IV cancer requires continuous care. The financial burden has become overwhelming, especially as she is no longer able to work. Her savings have been exhausted and living expenses continue to rise.
Funds raised will go directly toward:
• Daily living expenses while she is unable to work
• Supportive and palliative care as needed
• Final arrangements
Anita has always been a fighter, but no one should have to fight cancer alone. Any amount — big or small — will make a meaningful difference in her ability to continue treatment and maintain comfort and dignity during this incredibly difficult time.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign with others is just as valuable.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your support for Anita.
