On November 19, 2016  Grovetown Department of Public Saftey Lost a member of its family.  Michel Thorne (Thorny) passed away unexpectedly and has shocked every member of the department. Michel had served the citizens for over 20 years as a firefighter, 12 being with the GDPS. Our goal for this go fund me page is to help Michels family (Allison his wife, and MaryAnn his daughter) with any expenses that may arise, and to also provide some help for the upcoming holiday season. Michel was the type of man that never met a stranger, and was also the type of guy that would give you the shirt off of his back. No matter how bad your day was 5 minutes talking to thorny would change that right around.  Again we know that this is the holiday season but every little bit we can do for Thornys family would be appreciated, lets take care of a fellow brothers family.
