Well I am so pissed rite now I could chew nails.

2 months before Lisa's passing we signed her up for Social Security benefits as she was disabled...She qualified and a week before her death i received a call from SS that they we paying her back pay till 2022. 34 grand and change so we thought we had the mortgage and her funeral taken care of....no worries.

Got the death certificate yesterday so we went to her bank to get her account closed out and moneys put in my bank. As the girl was getting ready to give me a cashiers check her computer beeped and she said that because Lisa died on the 6th and the deposit from SS was on the 7th that they have to return it to SS and I would have to get from SS. I came home and got on the phone to SS in Suisun and talked to Denise who has been helping me on the case. She says it will be 60 to 90 days before i get it if then.,.,.maybe 6 months.

UPDATE 8/6: 

Lisa passed away at 6:02pm today. We are still trying to find and figure out finances. Please pray for my family during this difficult time.

UPDATE 7/31:

It saddens me to write this. My mother, Lisa, is not recovering from her battle as we had originally thought. She has been given days to weeks to live. She's coming home tomorrow or the next day on hospice. She requested to be home and to see her grandbabies. Unfortunately there is no life insurance and my parents have a limited income due to the treatments and care for her cancer since 2020. We are in need of financial help for funeral/cremation services and anything else that arises. We are so appreciative of all the prayers, support, and donations. Please keep her in your prayers.

UPDATE 7/20: Lisa has been in the hospital fighting for her life since June 21st. She is finally in remission again. As of right now there are no donors available until the end of August for her bone marrow transplant. 

Being her daughter I'm a 50% match. I am flying out next week to begin testing to make sure I can be her donor. If everything works out I'll be donating my stem cells the first week of August. Then hopefully two to four weeks later my mom will be released from the hospital for me to care for. 

My mother, Lisa Hiner-Nipps, will be undergoing a bone marrow transplant in August. She will need a full-time caregiver when she is released from the hospital. She resides in Fairfield, California with her husband, who is a caregiver currently and unable to be with her for her recovery in Sacramento. I am the only person available to take care of her after her transplant. Unfortunately, I currently reside in Pueblo, Colorado with my family of 6. I am raising money so I can stay in a hotel with her near UC Davis to care for her medical needs for a minimum of 3 months. She is a grandmother of 8 and she battled Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2020 and recently received a diagnosis of leukemia, that was caused by a medication that she was receiving to try to bring her platelets up after chemo and radiation for Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, end of 2022. The doctors at UC Davis were able to run the appropriate tests to know what form of medication would help her after they discovered she had leukemia. With more chemotherapy, they were successful in removing all but 5% of the cancer. She will need this bone marrow transplant to remove the remaining cancer and to help her body to create the necessary blood cells and platelets. We have finally found a bone marrow donor and all money raised will be used to cover expenses related to travel, food, and hotel costs while I stay with her to support her medical needs.
