Care and final expenses
Donation protected
Hi. My name is Vic, and my wife is Brenda. We met in 1991. I took her to her Sr. Prom, and we dated for a few years until we went our separate ways. Twenty-five years later, we reconnected on Facebook. We were married and expecting a child three months later. In 2015, she was diagnosed with very aggressive ovarian cancer. She is now in hospice. The end is expected within 3-6 months. For the last few weeks, I have been unable to work due to caring for her before her last hospital visit and a week-long stay. We also have a 12-year-old son who needed to be cared for while she was in the hospital. We are very short on funds, and I need to begin planning for her final wishes to be fulfilled while still caring for her and trying to pay the bills. Any prayers and donations would be greatly appreciated.
A little about her......She has been a loyal wife who cared for me when I had neck surgery that paralyzed my right arm for almost a year, providing for just about every need I had while dealing with her cancer issues. She was diagnosed in 2009 with MPGN, a rare kidney disease. This made it impossible for her to have any other children, so our 12-year-old son is her miracle child. She worked at the Hennepin County Humane Society for several years, caring for animals and participating in neglected animal seizures with the investigators and law enforcement. She has a very caring soul and has been a wonderful mother to our son and my three other children, never once treating them like "stepkids", but as her own.
She does not want an extravagant funeral. She chooses to be cremated and have her ashes distributed amongst her surviving siblings and family. Because I also have a tumor on kidney and restrictions due to back and heart problems, I can only drive for Lyft and Uber on a limited basis, so fulfilling her final wishes while also paying daily expenses such as rent and food has become difficult.
Any donations and prayers at this time would be deeply appreciated.
