Dear Friends, Neighbors, and RPI Community, If you’ve ever stopped by Thunder Mountain Curry, you know the incredible team of Mike and Michael. For years, they’ve been beloved staples of the RPI community, bringing delicious Thai food, warmth, and dedication to everyone on campus. Though Michael is technically retired, Thunder Mountain Curry remains his passion, and he still works regularly alongside Mike, serving the community he loves. Recently, Michael suffered a severe fall resulting in a traumatic injury, including spinal cord swelling and paralysis. He is undergoing critical surgery, and his medical team is taking things one day at a time. While his long-term prognosis remains uncertain, Michael faces a long and arduous road to recovery ahead. Right now, the priority is getting Michael the care, comfort, and specialized support he needs to navigate the months ahead.

Transparency & GoFundMe Compliance: I am a friend and local community member organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Michael and his family. 100% of the funds raised through this campaign will be used directly to support Michael's medical expenses, rehabilitation, and long-term care needs. Because Michael is currently in the hospital recovering from surgery, I am in the process of coordinating with him and his family to add him (or his designated family member) directly as the official account beneficiary so all donations will be transferred directly into his bank account.
