In a matter of minutes, lives have been changed forever.  Our Niece and her family (Cardwell’s) were fast asleep on Saturday morning when they were awoken to flames tearing through their house, by the grace of God all three of them were able to escape their home with no physical harm.

Deemed a complete loss they must begin to put the pieces back together. Chris and Katie will not ask for any assistance but there have been so many people asking what they can do. Right now it’s all so overwhelming. Thankfully they have temporary housing and a few basic needs have been provided.

The next few days, weeks and months will be challenging with not knowing which direction to turn. We ask for prayers as our cousins navigate down this long and windy road.

For those asking what they can do, we have created this page for you. All money raised will be directly transferred to their bank account.   (Skip and I will be giving the family the money that GoFundMe takes to manage the transactions so they will truly get the amounts you are donating to them.

Funds collected will be used to help them purchase household items needed that have not been donated already.  

To all the firefighters, friends, family, insurance and restoration folks - THANK YOU! In a world full of crazy, it’s so nice to see genuine kindness and love.
