Cardiologist consultation
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Luca. I'm trying to raise the funds to be able to go see a cardiologist. For a few months now, my heart has been getting progressively worse. My resting BPM is between 83 and 110, and it jumps quite significantly to between 140 and 175 when I so much as stand up to go to the bathroom. I've been spending as much time as possible laying in bed, hoping naively that it'd go away, but it's completely unmanageable and dangerous at this point. I'm unable to perform basic life things like cooking, standing for more than a few minutes, walking any kind of distance, even showering is proving to be difficult. I experience dizziness, light headedness, sweating, and mild chest pain, among a few other things. I have just been this morning (15/5/24) to my doctor and gotten an ECG, paperwork for blood tests and a chest X-ray, and referrals to get a 24hr heart monitor and to see a cardiologist. I've been in contact with the cardiologist office, and while the heart monitor is covered by Medicare, unfortunately the consultation will cost $500 out of pocket. I'm unable to fund this myself, as I'm currently unemployed due to disabilities and living on centerlink. I can't lie, I'm quite scared for my heart, and would love to get this consultation as soon as possible. The cardiologist can and will hold my referral for a few weeks, but obviously with this kind of heart strain the sooner the better. Thank you for reading, please share this around, and thank you for your help.
Much love, Luca.
