St Colmcilles Ladies Gaelic football team are into the All Britain Final on the 11th of October. This year we aim to be the first Welsh Ladies Gaelic Football team to win the All-Britain LGFA Football Championship! Our club and local community are immensely proud of them for this achievement and for winning Gloucestershire Championship earlier this year.
Representing St Colmcilles and Wales at this level comes with a significant cost to cover transport, food, equipment, and potential accommodation. Like many small voluntary groups across Wales, the cost of living crisis has been financially challenging. Our ladies team is in need of funds ahead of the upcoming championship final.
We are asking our family, friends and GAA supporters at home and abroad to support our Ladies Team. All contributions, small or big will be greatly appreciated by all in St Colmcilles GAA Cardiff and we thank you for your support.
Colmcille Abú!
About the Club:
As Cardiff’s only Gaelic club, we have been promoting Gaelic Games and Irish Culture in the local and surrounding areas since 1956. We offer a haven away from home and a warm welcome to all nationalities, backgrounds, and abilities. St Colmcilles is much more than a sports club. Our focus isn’t just on the game, it’s about getting everyone together, having the craic, building relationships, supporting each other, and developing our club whether you are a player or non-player! All are welcome! The club has the only Welsh Ladies Gaelic Football team, alongside a Camogie team, a Hurling team and Mens Gaelic Football team.
All roles within the club are administered by volunteers and our pursuits are supported through fundraising.
