As the new school year started, many students in the Dominican Republic are facing the difficulty of not having their much-needed school supplies. You can help to change their school experience by donating to CARAS, a nonprofit organization that will assist underprivileged students with school supplies so that they can achieve a school year successfully. I am raising money to pay the way to establish CARAS as a nonprofit organization to meet students' needs.
The goal is to raise US$5,000, which will assist in obtaining the 501(c)(3) legal entity. ALL the funds raised from your contributions will be spent in the formation of CARAS and pay for all government and IRS required fees as a nonprofit organization. Share this post with your friends and family members. Let's make a difference in the lives of school-age children and adolescents in need in the Dominican Republic.
CARAS will provide the following services to underserved students in the East coast of the Dominican Republic:
- Provide free school supplies
- Enhance their academic experience
- Access to health care referrals
- Supply students with school attire
- Parental engagement and support
