Cara's Cancer Fighting Fund

Our hearts were filled with fear and sadness a couple weeks ago when we found out that our dear friend and co-worker, Cara Whiting's cancer has returned.  

This page was put together by her Blackberry Market family. We know that many of you who are frequent Blackberry customers know who Cara is. But those who don't know, Cara has been an integral part of Blackberry since the very beginning. She is not only our head baker, but she is the brains behind our ridiculous and secret cinnamon roll recipe. 

8 years ago, she successfully fought stage 4 colon cancer. In 2010, she had surgery and then went through chemo for months.  It was a grueling process, but she emerged from it cancer-free.

Life slowly returned to normal and Cara and Tom could focus on raising their 4 beautiful girls.  

Today, Cara is once again facing a battle.  Tumors were discovered on her abdominal cavity in mid October and her chemo has started immediately.

Her family is rallying around her and we're cheering her on too.  

During this difficult season, we don't want Cara or her family to have to stress out about finances because of the added medical expenses and lost time at work.

So many people have asked how they can help.  Cara is such a loving and compassionate person who's always ready to help a friend or stranger.  No need is too small to escape her notice.

We'd like to pour that kind of compassion back on her as she faces this difficult season.
