On November 11, 2025, Cara received the heartbreaking diagnosis of a stage 4 cancerous brain tumor (glioblastoma). Just three days later, on November 14, she underwent brain surgery in Halifax. She is now preparing to begin both radiation and chemotherapy in December as she continues this difficult fight.

Cara - a devoted mom of three, caring daughter, loving sister, partner, friend, teacher's assistant and volunteer has always given so much to others.

Because she's been unable to work and faces mounting medical bills, her family now needs help covering treatment costs, travel, medication and daily expenses.
