In Loving Memory of Cara Robyn Mckee

All of our hearts are shattered.

On the 15th of July 2026 we unexpectedly lost our beautiful Cara after a long and hard battle with her mental health. At only 18 years old, she took her own life, leaving a hole in our family that can never be filled.

Cara was a bright, caring, funny and loving soul with an infectious laugh and a passion for helping animals and her pets. She lit up every room she entered with her personality and brought joy and laughter to everyone around her. She made the world a better place in her short time here and we are devastated that she won't get the chance to experience more that life had to offer.

This loss has been devastating for her entire family and everyone involved in her life, especially my girlfriend Melissa, who adored her youngest sister and looked forward to every moment they shared together. Her mum Cathy and sister Aimee who she lived with at the family home in Ayr are also utterly heartbroken and struggling immensely with her loss. The grief is overwhelming, and on top of the emotional pain, the family now face significant funeral and memorial expenses that we weren't prepared for. Costs for the service, cremation, and supporting the family through this time have added a financial burden during an already impossible and unthinkable period for all of us.

We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your help. Any donation will go directly toward covering funeral services, cremation costs, memorial expenses, and helping the McKee family navigate the coming weeks and months. Cara may no longer be with us physically, but her memory and the love and happiness she brought into all of our lives will live on in our hearts forever. We miss her so much and always will.

The whole family is distraught. She was such a huge part of all of our lives including her wider family, grandparents, cousins, aunties, uncles and her best friends who stood by her through thick and thin.
