Car Whisperer Needs Help for Final Ride Home

Mark Bailey, AKA "The Car Whisperer", was an ASE certified mechanic in the Greater Houston area for over 30 years. His passion for automobiles ran deep. From classic cars to new cars, he loved them all! The 1960's Batmobile, that he worked on, to the Galaxie 500 "Elvira" show car, to the 650hp 2008 Chevrolet Camaro, to the 500hp Nissan 240sx were his pride and joy, but really any car that entered his bay were. He took pride in all the cars he touched. He was honest with his dealings, meticulous to details, and sincere with everyone.
On February 14th, Mark was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer that had metastasized to his bones and liver. He was later discharged from Memorial Hermann Hospital to his son's care and to start treatment. In less than a week, he had to go back into the hospital, because of excruciating pain. This was when he and his family was told that he has weeks to live.
During this turbulent time, his family found out that he did not have life insurance. Asking him what his wishes would be, Mark said he just wanted to be cremated. The reason for this was due to the cost. The more that his only son, Allan, poked and prodded, he found out what he really wanted. His wishes included a time for his friends, family, and customers to come and support each other, celebrate his life, and say goodbye, then be cremated and his ashes be buried with his grandmother, mother and father in Bluefield, West Virginia, his birthplace.
Mark passed away March 8, 2019. His funeral in Houston will be Sunday March 17, 2109 and then he will be transported to West Virginia and buried March 23, 2019.
Mark is survived by his sister, brother, only son, three grandchildren, and the countless family, friends and customers.
