So in January, I took a leap of faith and moved across the country from Virginia to San Diego, California. This was for a change of scenery and to put myself in a better position long term to grow as a person. I also wanted to bring my non profit organization to a new coast to help make change out here as well. This move was very costly and took a year of savings to make happen (shipping costs, refurbushing apartment, etc)

A month after moving, I came downstairs to the parking garage to discover that my car had been stolen. Apparently, car thieves target out of state license plates and it is common for them to take the car to Tijuana, Mexico to sell for parts. Police here said they only work on finding stolen vehicles 2 days per week, which would be a week from the day it was stolen. With that time frame being so far from the day it was taken, it is highly unlikely that they recover the vehicle since it has no GPS tracking. 

I did not have comprehensive insurance that pays in case of a stolen vehicle, so I am in a unique position. I am across country without friends or family to support, no car to make it to work to pay rent and a depleted savings account from this very recent life changing move. 

Life is never fair to any of us. Everything happens for a reason and I do not question what God has mapped for my life. Maybe I would've got in a severe car accident if they didn't steal my car. At the same time, I will need any help possible moving forward. If you have any amount of money to contribute that may help me purchase a new vehicle, it would literally mean the world to me. Any amount can help in this situation.
