Car stolen and vandalized

Hello, my name is Chris and this past Saturday my mother's car got stolen while I had it at work in Gresham, Oregon. I spent 3 hours on hold with non-emergency and finally got a response from an operator who had me file a report and shortly got a call from an officer who got down some information and told me they'd get to the bottom of it. Fast forward to today (Monday, 12/20) and I got a call from them telling me that they found my car in Oregon City (about 30 mins away from where I live) and that we'd have to get a release form from the police and take it to a towing place in Oregon City. So me and my mom went out to Oregon City and stopped at the police department and met with a dispatcher who gave us a release form, then we headed off to the towing yard where we spent 325 dollars to get out the car. This was all the money we had between the both of us. I went in and looked in the car and it had been super trashed. Random papers and garbage everywhere, a beanie, a box of nutter butters, handwarmers, etc.. Then I looked at the steering wheel and the whole front panel was gone where they had hotwired the car, and the panel where the stick shift is was gone. Then I tried to start the car and the ignition was loose and wouldn't lock in place, so the whole mechanism was useless and couldn't be started. I didn't look under the hood to see if any damage had been done there, but effectively the car is useless and my mom doesn't have comprehensive auto insurance. This is terrible timing for this to happen because I was gonna use that car to do my delivery driving with Zumiez and I had just gotten approved for it the day before it was stolen, so now I'm frantically figuring out what to do and I figured I should try to set up a Gofundme. The goal is $2,000 so we can get ourselves a decent used car and get ourselves from place to place. Anything helps and I really appreciate any donations. Thank you in advance.
