This year, I'm organizing the 5th annual car show in downtown Lansing to honor my dear Poppa, 'Dirty' Bill McCallum. Hosting this event in his hometown means so much to me, and I want to make sure it's a special day for everyone who attends. The car show is completely free for the community, and we fill the day with the music he loved, played by a local DJ, and award original trophies created by Lansing artist Andrew Sandstedt. These trophies have become a highlight of the event—people say they're the best in the state!
Putting on an event like this takes a lot of heart, but also some practical support. I'm currently short on funds to cover the event insurance, print flyers to spread the word, and commission those one-of-a-kind trophies. Every dollar raised will go directly to making this tribute possible and keeping it free for everyone who wants to celebrate my Pop's legacy.
If you can help in any way, it would mean the world to me and to everyone who loved my Poppa. Your support will help keep this tradition alive and make sure we can gather on June 21st—his birthday and the first day of summer—to remember him together. Thank you so much for considering a donation and for helping me honor a truly special person.
