A friend of mine is in the active reserves. His last deployment led to a string of tragic losses for his unit, both on mission and to suicide once returned. My friend was also contemplating that due to the severe PTSD of that deployment. His daughter asked him to help her restore an old Mustang, and that project literally saved his life. As a result, he has started a garage where Veterans can come and work on cars for free. My friend pays for everything out of his own pocket, with the exception of a few project cars they take on to help keep the lights on. This project of his has been a great help to the vets who come, and he is always welcoming and encouraging vets to join in the activity.

He recently extended his barn to add shop area to allow more veterans to participate, and at work, we were able to get an industrial hoist donated. He is currently halted on finishing the extension because of material costs. I'm starting this GoFundMe to help raise costs so he can complete the extension and continue his amazing work supporting our Veterans who have been facing the immense challenges of their post-service emotional recovery journey.
