Car Replacement Urgent for Disabled Driver
Donation protected
Update;
I have purchased a new to me car, and hopefully will get the hand controls put on this coming week. Therefore I have stopped accepting donations for this fundraiser. Thank you so much to everyone who helped me be able to achieve this, I appreciate it so much.
Hello everyone, as some of you know I was involved in a head on collision on 3/8/25, caused by another driver being distracted. Luckily I came out of it with just a bloody nose and some pretty gnarly bruises from the seatbelt and airbag, and some time in the ER for scans and X-rays. However my beloved Scion XB was totaled, though I am waiting on the insurance to let me know about the settlement. However being disabled makes getting a new car much more difficult and expensive, as first I have to find a car that fits me and then get the hand controls put on so I can actually drive it away. I had full coverage and luckily the other driver also has insurance, but with my car being 19 years old I am not expecting a lot. Also the cost of the hand controls is just over $2000 and has to be factored in at the beginning. So as much as I hate to ask, I am a hoping for a bit of assistance with all of this. But I understand everyone is dealing with their own issues, so even if you just share it and take the time to send good thoughts I greatly appreciate it.
