Car repairs needed, any help appreciated!

As some of you may know, a few weeks back my car overheated and then broke down on my way to church. I took it to a mechanic today who told me that it is not going to be worth it to fix it. I don't have the means to pay for a new car at the moment. I know the holidays season just passed, and spare funds are hard to come by, but anything you can contribute would be greatly appreciated!
