How Mu? Hello everyone. My name is Christina Thomas, and I am asking for your support to help Reynelda James. Reynelda is a respected Elder from Pyramid Lake. I have had the honor of working with her on Numu Yadoonana [Northern Paiute Language] since 2010. She gives so freely of her time for prayers, working with language speakers, creating curriculum, and teaching our language.
In December 2021 Reynelda was in a car accident due to the weather, she was driving and slipped on ice, and her car slid into the side of a mountain. Luckily, she escaped being a bit sore, but her car was not so lucky. Reynelda drives to Reno to teach/work at the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony, working in the Language and Culture Department. Since the accident Reynelda does not have her car. She was a little upset as she just had her car worked and bought new tires as well.
I am asking for support to help get her car back up and running. Reynelda gives to all who for her help and her beautiful blessings she gives. She is a treasure to not only our Native communities, but the state of Nevada. Please feel free to share and support this wonderful person. She does not know I'm doing this, and I would love to surprise her with the funds to get her car fixed. Pesa Mu [Thank You]!!
