Car Repair, etc

Hi everyone!

I have decided to reach out and tell my story. This year has not been an easy one for me, especially the last 6 months. I have struggled with mental, physical, and financial help, and I thank my family and friends for helping me get this far. I have been talking to my therapist and we decided that reaching out for help might be a good idea. My family has been very gracious in assisting me before, but this time it’s a little bit more than just what they can handle.

I had known for a while that I was dealing with chronic fatigue and that I had some achy joints every once in a while, but at the beginning of July, I was in a lot of pain. I even ended up going to the ER a couple of times because the pain was so bad, and I had to leave the job I was working at the time. After a long journey of waiting for Doctor’s appointments and being unable to work a normal job, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Basically, it means that I have chronic pain, fatigue, and some mental health issues that I am going to be dealing with for a long time.

Because of this diagnosis and pain, I have not been able to hold down a normal 9-5 job. I have tried and been let go or had to leave because my body couldn’t handle the stress. After trying for the past 3 months I finally have a remote work-from-home job and I couldn’t be happier about it!

Unfortunately, this week, my laptop broke. On Monday, I was able to get on a payment plan for a new laptop so that I can continue with my new remote job which is ideal for my health. This has been a financial burden especially as I work to pay off the debts that I already have, along with my bills.

On top of that, I have been having car trouble for the past couple of weeks, so I finally got it looked at, and the first place I took it to said that they could fix it for roughly $300. However, they misdiagnosed the issue, and when I took it in again to another place on Wednesday, they informed me that the actual cost for repair is $2,000. I need to get the subframe and two lower control arms fixed. It is important that I have my car so that I can continue to do grocery orders which helps my income, and I am also going back to school in January so that I can complete my undergrad.

Needless to say, I have been struggling a lot these past six months and could use some help getting out of this financial hole that I’ve found myself in. I have been trying and trying to pick myself up by the bootstraps but things just haven’t been going my way.

If you are able and willing, anything will help. An extra $20 goes a long way to paying for my car to get fixed. An extra $5 will help me pay off my laptop. Please consider helping me out this Holiday season so that I can have a better start to the new year!
