I’m asking for help after a car accident left my car totaled. My car flipped in the accident, and I am incredibly grateful that I was not injured. Even so, losing my car has had a major impact on my life because I relied on it heavily every day.

My car gave me independence from my parents, who I have chosen not to have a relationship with for my health. Without it, I have lost an important source of stability and freedom at a time when I am trying to keep moving forward on my own.

I am also applying to audiology graduate school and will be paying for the travel, tuition, and application fees myself. I would like to go somewhere far away from my parents, and right now I am trying to balance those school costs while also facing the need to replace my car.

I’m the president of Terps Raising Pups at UMD, and I need a car to transport puppies to appointments and necessary classes. Not having a vehicle affects both my daily life and responsibilities I care deeply about.

The funds from this fundraiser will go toward replacing my car and helping with graduate school expenses so I can keep my independence and continue working toward audiology school.
