Car & Rent Help for Single Mom

Shelly lost her job nearly two years when her car broke down, since then she has been trying to find a new job, but no one has been willing to hire her because of a lack of stable transportation. She's a single mother with two children under the age of ten. 

Due to her car sitting for so long, several different mechanics have said that car isn't safe to repair. As such, the goal is to purchase a used car from the car dealer in town as they sell vehicles for between 1.5-2.5k, get the tax, title, plates, and insurance dealt so she may have a safe vehicle. That would allow her to find a new job, since the biggest hurdle has been the lack of transportation.  

Since she has been unable to find a stable job, all money that she has goes towards keeping the gas and electric on. However, that means her lot rent has fallen behind. She is now trying to get that caught up as well, so she does not lose her home, which would allow her ex to challenge for the boys, which he definitely should not have as they always have behavioral problems after being around him. We will be applying for all the assistance we can, but any other help would be appreciated!
