Hello friends of Mike Murrell.
As you may have known from his social media post, on December 2nd, 2019, Mike had an accident and totaled his car. It had been raining and the combination of water and oil caused his car to hydroplane on Highway 1 and crashed on the side.
Fortunately, he and his dog, Lila, are okay and uninjured, just a bit shaken. The road was clear and no one else was involved in the accident. However, his car wasn't so lucky. He is currently getting around with a rental car and the cost can add up.
Therefore, we would like to give a little bit of helping hand for Mike so that he can replace his car ASAP so he will be able to get back to his daily activities. His insurance cannot cover the cost of a new car.
As you probably already know, Mike is a dedicated teacher in the art of Brazilian jiu jitsu. He owns Cave Academy in Pacifica and he also teaches 7 am no gi classes at Ralph Gracie San Francisco. He absolutely needs a car in order to be able to do that.
If you are a student of Cave Academy, you already know how much he is putting work into the school to make it better. It would be very much appreciated if you can give a little bit of help so Mike has one fewer thing to worry about.
We are trying to keep it a secret from Mike for now, so please do not share or post publicly on social media. However, feel free to share with anyone who you think can help.
