When Darrin was on the Kansas City Christian School mission trip, his sister was driving his car and someone hit her and drove off. The car was totaled. Darrin only had liability insurance, which did not cover any replacement cost. This was Darrin's family's only car. He used this car to drive his mother to work, as well as for his sister to get to work. He also used the vehicle for himself,  to get to work and school. This was their money - maker and now it is gone.
