Car Flipped 3 Times & Is Totaled. Please Help!

Hi, my name is Angie and in the wee hours of the morning of Halloween, I received one of those dreaded phone calls where when you answer the phone there’s a police officer on the other end. My heart sank as I listened to what he had to say.
He informed me that my daughter, her husband, and my 3 grandchildren had been involved in a car wreck and that they’d flipped 3 times and were being extracted from the vehicle.
The room shrunk in on me as I asked if everyone was ok. He said that both females, 1 child & 1 adult were in critical condition and that the adult male is unresponsive. So, I started slipping on clothes as I listened some more.
I made it as fast as I could to Riley Children’s hospital to check on my 3 grandbabies. Both of my grandsons had made it out with minor cuts but my (soon to be) 5 year old granddaughter had a concussion, a fractured skull and 2 fractures to her right orbital eye cavity, 2 small brain bleeds, and a large gash on her forehead that needed inner and outer stitches to close.
After running from room to room trying to comfort all 3 grandchildren for a while, I was relieved by a family member that allowed me to go check on my daughter.
When I made it to the other hospital that they’d taken her to I found her alert and talking but the injuries to her face were extensive and blood was literally everywhere.
One of the trauma doctors decided that she would need stitches for 2 of the many cuts on her face. Another trauma doctor informed me that she had a collapsed lung and 6 broken ribs and that she had a fracture near her sinuses. I tried to keep it together as I watched all the frantic staff activity in her room.
After checking on the husband over the phone because they’d all been sent to separate hospitals, I was relieved to find out that he was bumped and bruised but practically unscathed. Thank God.
The good news is that all 5 of them are healing up quickly and none of them will require any long term healing, at least not physically. But the bad news is that their only family vehicle is totaled and will not be replaced via their insurance claim or by them since she’s legally disabled and he previously used the car to work for a ride-share company. So, that is where you come in. Please open your hearts and pockets to give what you can to help get them another used car. I know with the holidays coming up that this is the time of year when most people are strapped for cash, but I want you to know that every little bit counts so please give whatever you can.
Thanks for taking the time to read this even if you don’t contribute.
Stay well and always be sure to tell AND show your loved ones how much you love them because you never know when the last time you do….will be the last time you do.
Humbly,
Angie M.
