Car fire totally destroyed my car
Donation protected
My name is Vincent, I live in Seattle, and I’ve had a really difficult month. I was laid off in November, and now my car is totally destroyed. I usually try and help others, but this time I am asking for help.
On Thursday, December 1st, I was on the way to pick up my two sons. Around 6:30 pm, while driving on I-5 to Lynnwood, Washington, my car stalled along the highway at exit 182 and in less than two minutes, my car was totally engulfed in flames. All the items in the car, child car seats, boxes of clothing and household items (I’m moving) were a clump of smoking ashes. The one good thing is that I didn’t have my sons in the car with me; 15 minutes more and I would have had them, and I don’t want to even think about that.
Insurance only covers the car, and what is left on the bank loan has to be paid off; however, it will not give me anything for a down payment on a replacement car nor help to replace some clothes and work items. That’s where I need some help.
I’ve been working so hard; I have an interview on Saturday (good news), I have been taking the bus, and it takes about two hours one way from my home to my sons and then I pick them up from school.
Any amount of donations would really help to ease my burden and help me to get life rolling forward again. I’m going to try and buy another car to help myself and my sons out. I appreciate you looking at this and helping if you can. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year.
I am grateful for your help, and I’m super happy that no one, including myself, was hurt in this car fire.
