On February 25th, 2025, my fiancé and I were driving back home in our only car, a 1972 Oldsmobile 98, when the car suddenly lost all power and started smoking. We hard-turned the car into a roadway until it couldn't roll anymore. When the smoke started to get into the cabin, we left everything in the car so we could get to a safer spot while the car went up in flames, losing wallets, devices, memories, and our dreams of restoring this vehicle.

My fiancé and I watched as onlookers took videos and watched as our hopes and dreams burned up, which shortly hours later saw videos posted already and coworkers talking about it. It was a heartbreaking tale as we were saving to be able to fully restore this 53-year-old car to what it deserves. Now we must use other means of transportation to get back and forth to work to be able to survive. This is why I seek and ask for help from others, which I would have never thought of doing any other time. I hope a few of you will seek it in your hearts to help us in our time of need as a member of the community and a part of a larger family.
