This is honestly something I would rather not be writing, and it feels quite embarrassing to ask for help, but I’ve reached a point where I either ask for help or risk ending up in a much worse situation.

Over the past few months my car has already needed several repairs, and this weekend the clutch suddenly failed. The pedal went straight to the floor and I couldn’t change gears at all thankfully the girls were not in the car with me , After getting it looked at, I’ve been told the repair would cost around £2,000, which just isn’t something I can afford — and it doesn’t really make sense to spend that much on such an old car.

Unfortunately my car is essential for my job delivering for Amazon. Without it, I simply can’t work. I’ve already lost work this week while trying to deal with the breakdown, which means I’m already falling behind financially.

Instead of repairing the car, my hope is to put any help I receive towards a basic reliable second-hand car so I can get back on the road and continue working.

I’m trying really hard not to let my emotions get the better of me, but I’ll be honest — things feel really hard at the moment. Asking for help like this isn’t easy for me, but right now it feels like the only way to keep moving forward.

Even £5 or £10 would genuinely help me get closer to getting back on the road and back to work.
