Car accident with terrible injuries
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Jenna Raine and there was a terrible car accident this week with my friends. Of everyone involved, My best friend Thea was severely injured. She lost consciousness and the people who pulled her out of the car thought she was dead. The hospital said I couldn’t see her until they knew she would make it. There was only one doctor at the stand alone ER center. I began screaming Thea, I’m here I’m here! I won’t leave you! They said they would tell her I’m here and some bystanders were trying to hold me back. My best friend could have died. I started accessing the damages (as this is what I do for a living). I knew we would have a problem but we could address this later. I ran back across the street to the hospital. I paced the waiting room while the nurses were cleaning the blood off the chairs and floors from Thea. My back is hurting, my head is hurting, I’m crying and nauseous. We were finally allowed back to her room. She was still in imaging and having blood and glass removed from her face. The doctor warned us to be cautious when I see her face. I knew it would be bad. I just knew she was covered in blood but I couldn’t see the trauma through the blood from when she got out the car. Thea was rolled in and her side of her face was covered in lacerations. My poor best friend. She lost her eyebrow, hair was ripped out, half of her eyelid, her face was covered in lacerations, missing chunks of skin, glass was imbedded into her body. Her leg looked swollen, ankle looked broken. Her chest was bruised, couldn’t breathe due to broken ribs, arms and legs bruised. The car air bags didn’t deploy in the driver side and the passenger side didn’t have any airbags. The seatbelt must have been faulty I’m not sure because the investigation is pending. Her hair was in the seatbelt connector. Hair was everywhere pulled out of her head. If y’all know thea, her hair is basically to her knees. I just held Thea’s hand all night as she was stitched and cleaned up. She was discharged and wheeled out unable to walk, and very banged up. Two days later, the prescription isn’t helping. She returns to another ER to learn she has a concussion, avulsion fracture and needs to see a plastic surgeon for her face lacerations. There will not be enough coverage for the current and future bills and we want to make sure she’s taken care of as her injuries were the worst. If you can donate even a few dollars, she would be very grateful. She has no family here, and her family is less than helpful. Thank you for your time.
