Car Accident Resulting in Numerous Expenses

My name is Angie and I’m creating this Go Fund Me page as an effort to assist my nephew, Cody Stevens, age 20. He was in a car accident on Dec. 10th and suffered many injuries. He was taken to Miami Valley Trauma Center where he received multiple surgeries and remained there for the last 2 weeks. He has since been transferred to Reid Hospital where he will remain for several more weeks so that he may receive intensive physical and occupational therapy. He is recovering from surgeries to repair a broken knee, broken femur, broken hip, broken arm, and 12 broken ribs.

Cody has a long road of recovery ahead of him and will be out of work for approximately 6-8 months. He will have many medical bills and living expenses to attend to in the near future with no income as he is unable to return to work until he is fully recovered. He currently lives with my mother (his grandmother) and will be returning home in a wheelchair. In order for this to happen, my mother will need to make some changes in the design of her home by creating wider doors, a wheelchair ramp, and installing a handicap accessible shower unit. This leads to more unexpected expenses as she will also be off work due to a scheduled surgery of her own.

Any and all help to support my nephew, Cody, as well as my mother in creating a handicap accessible home for him to return to, would be greatly appreciated!
