Hi, it’s Lisa. This is my first GoFundMe. The kids and I have come upon a delay in our move to Pennsylvania. We were involved in a multi-vehicle accident yesterday at 3:15pm on eastbound I-80 in Rock Springs, WY. Thankfully we survived with minor injuries-whiplash, cuts from glass, big purple bruises. The dog and cat have no injuries. We all saw the accident starting and knew it was unavoidable. I was terrified of losing my children. I tried what I could to aim for the snowy grassy median. I was the last car in the 10+ vehicle pile up. We spent 7 hours in the broken car waiting for a tow and a ride to a hotel. My sweet beloved 2005 Honda CRV is totaled. There are no rentals in Rock Springs until Monday or Tuesday next week. We are also in need of a large vehicle rental to continue hauling our belongings to Pennsylvania. All rentals in Rock Springs are $120-$130 a day. My insurance is not covering the week long hotel stay, which will be $1,000+ and meals. It also will only cover a small portion of the rental car for up to 7 days. It will take most of that to get to PA. Then I still need to find a used car to buy. I need to help covering the cost of a rental for another week or so. I thought I’d try GoFundMe since this accident has put me in a difficult situation financially. I have yet to visit my car and collect our personal items. I saw some were damaged. My priority right now is a roof over our heads, meals, medical care if needed, and finding a rental car. We finally picked up our personal items. So much was damaged, including the Thule box.
