Car accident and health setback

Greetings y'all,

 

There is no easy way to ask for support when one is in the midst of a crisis. However, I have reached a point in my recovery since the accident on January 19th where I have the strength and the confidence to reach out to you, my community, to ask for your assistance as I move through the financial burden that comes from getting into an automobile accident.

 

With your help I hope to reach my medical goals, finding comfort in being back in my body and moving about without so much pain and imbalance. I was t-boned in my driver-side passenger door and have been dealing with fatigue, vertigo, concussion, nerve pain and muscle pain. I also hit my face on the steering wheel on impact, so I will have a dental procedure to remove one of my front teeth, having a crown placed on it. In addition, I aim to get my vehicle operational and safe to drive so I can continue running my business. Where it stands, my insurance will not cover the damages to my vehicle but will cover a very limited scope of my medical bills. What I seek beyond the western lens of our medical system is a localized holistic healing treatment and the repair of my vehicle.

 

The breakdown of what I am hopeful to raise financially is below. Please know that the support I seek for these goals will provide hyper-local business to local entrepreneurs who are friends of many of us in the community. Even in a time of distress, I feel grateful to be in Asheville, knowing that our community is full of talented, skilled and honorable folks who have been a part of my healing journey.

 

$800 - 6 month protocol of weekly treatments at Flower Mountain Acupuncture downtown with Sarak Leiki Fields

 

$480 - 8 month supply of mushroom and herbal extracts to support my cognitive brain function and to repair the damage created by the concussion I experienced; Lion's Mane, Milky Oats, Lemon Balm, & Gotu Kola etc. from Asheville Wild Foods and Essential Oil Wizardry

 

$2,020 - Car repairs, including parts and labor with Doctor Dave
