I'm Christine Hernandez and I live in Buffalo, New York. I've started this GoFundMe to help my cousin Michael Caputo and his family. The Democrats in the House of Representatives have him in their crosshairs again about this bogus Russia investigation. This time, he's had enough. He just announced that he won't cooperate with the House Judiciary Committee investigation that just started - and he's going to be racking up some legal fees. AGAIN!
Actually, Michael is my husband Greg's cousin. They grew up together since they were in Junior High. When they graduated high school, Greg went into the Air Force and Michael enlisted in the Army. Nowadays, they're inseparable. Greg and I are also godparents to Ana Sofia, Michael and Maryna's six-year-old daughter. Their daughters are very special.
Greg and I are huge Trump supporters, but we stay out of politics. I work in retail; Greg works in the defense industry. We've been so proud of Michael, fighting the good fight for our President and our country on the 2016 campaign and today on national television. And we were proud to contribute to his legal fund last summer when he appeared before the House, Senate and Mueller investigations. In fact, 8,500 people donated to his fund. Testifying as a witness - not a target or a subject, just a witness - Michael incurred nearly $200,000 in legal costs. Since the GoFundMe covered those costs, he was able to help several other Trump associates pay their legal fees, too.
Now the Mueller investigation is ending (after finding no Russian collusion, of course), but the Democrats have taken over the House of Representatives and they're starting the whole thing all over again!
To begin, the House Democrats are targeting 81 people associated with President Trump! Of course, that's outrageous, but Michael is right in the middle of it. Today, he announced that he does not intend to cooperate. I don't think any of these people should - this whole thing has gotten ridiculous! - but this is going to cost a lot more money than he has left in his legal fund. A whole lot more.
Frankly, I don't know how much this will cost their family, but it's at least $50,000 and I want to raise it for them. Can you help? Michael, his wife, and his three daughters don't deserve this and I hope everyone who supports President Trump will support my cousin Michael Caputo because he backs our President - and he won't back down.
