Go Fund Me wants some information so the money can continue to be withdrawn so here is the information:
*Who you are: Melissa Weinberg
*Where you're from: Saucier, MS
*Your relationship to the parties you're raising funds for: I worked with Megan at West Wortham for many years and she is a very dear friend.
*How the funds will be used (be specific as possible): The funds are being used by Megan and Joe for travel, hospital bills, or whatever they need it for! *If you intend to withdraw the money, how you plan to send the funds to the parties you're raising money for or use the money on their behalf: Each week, Go Fund Me deposits the current balance into my account. I then send it to Megan by PayPal (plus I usually send a little extra from myself each week). I initially wanted her to set it up to go directly to her account, but I got impatient with her (I knew she didn't have the time) and set it up myself because I wanted her to get the money as soon as she could!
4/10 - from Alana Capuano Nelson's FB:
The Colbi Capuano benefit account has been set up with Hancock Bank for anyone who would like to donate locally. Donations can be made at any Hancock Whitney location. A HUGE thank you to all who have generously given time, money, love and prayers, it means more to us than you will ever know. Please continue to pray for our sweet Colbi, her doctors and the family.
You all are so awesome!! Thank you for your kind generosity!! We have far exceeded our goal and the donations keep rolling in!! Joe and Megan are blessed with great family and friends and they feel your blessings and prayers!! The words THANK YOU aren't enough, but thank you to each of you that has donated money and/or prayed for Colbi and her family!! Keep those prayers coming!
4/6 from Velina's (Megan's mom) FB post:
Baby Colby had a good day today off the vent and oxygen.....she even suck her bottle a little ❤️
Megan's comment on her mom's post:
Thank you everyone for all the prayers and support!! We had a great day today... she took a small bottle! It was only 15ml but she took it like a champ!
Thank you to all that have donated and prayed!!!!! The Capuano’s are so loved (how could you not love them)!!! Since the $2,000 goal was met, we made a new goal of $3,000!! Don’t forget to keep the prayers coming too!!!
On April 1, Megan posted about the details of sweet Colbi (see post below). Yesterday morning (4/3/19), baby Colbi was airlifted to UMC in Jackson to get the special care that she needs. Her friends and family have continued to pray for Colbi and her family, but we want to do more. This Go Fund Me will help Megan and Joe while they stay in Jackson to be with baby Colbi.
April 1:
I have typed this post probably 10 times wondering what to say or how to say it, how much information to give or any information. I finally decide to tell you about my little angel exactly the way God wanted her to be!! She is absolutely perfect and gorgeous! Colbi was born March 14th and she was born with a condition called ACC, Agenesis of the Corpus Collosum, and enlarged ventricles. The Corpus Collosum is the “highway” that connects the two hemisphere of the brain, and Colbi does not have one. The enlarged ventricles are another part of her diagnosis... We do not know exactly what our future will look like or what it all means for her at this time. We have been told a WIDE spectrum and it is a wait and see game! BUT what I do know is how much we love her already. What I do know is that she is going to do great things!! She is already off the oxygen, started physical therapy and stolen the hearts of so many!! She is still in the NICU working on eating on her own! The doctor said it may take her a little while to figure it out but I know she will!
I can not say THANK YOU enough to everyone who has been praying, checking on her, watching Carsyn, cooking, the love and support is honestly overwhelming!!! Joseph and I are truly blessed with amazing family and friends!! Colbi says hello and she can’t wait to meet everyone, when she finally breaks out of here!! She is already a fighter and feisty, just like her momma!
I can’t thank Memorial NICU staff enough... The nurses here are amazing and many have become friends already. The way they love my little girls is a blessing!
