Capturing Unique Photos of Amazing Buildings into a Book
Donation protected
I am an experienced professional urban explorer, photographer, and historian. I specialize in capturing and documenting the most fascinating abandoned heritage buildings. For instance, I have explored and photographed a $42 million abandoned mansion in North Sydney that sat untouched for nine years. Additionally, I have visited a Time Capsule home in Port Stevens, built in 1890, which still contains all its original contents from the 1940s. Another remarkable location I have documented and photographed is an 1870s hotel pub in the Southern Highlands, where abandoned telegrams from the 1950s can still be found. I have also photographed buildings that have unfortunately been demolished. I take great risks to capture these unique pieces of Australian history, whether they are houses, industrial structures, or any other intriguing sites. Currently, I am in the process of compiling a book that showcases these extraordinary homes and my unconventional adventures. As far as I know, there are no existing books on the market that combine quirky photos of Australian buildings with heritage and urban exploration.
I have nearly finished writing a book that spans 250 pages and contains over 45,000 words, along with numerous captivating pictures. This book encompasses amusing anecdotes, helpful tips, and clever techniques for discovering extraordinary abandoned buildings. In order to bring these remarkable structures to life in a traditional book format, I am in need of some financial support. The cost of professional proofreading is approximately $45 per 1000 words, excluding editing and formatting expenses. Additionally, a small print run of wire-bound books in colour amounts to $42 per book for a batch of 100.
If you have a fondness for Australian heritage and buildings, vibrant photographs, or even a penchant for urban exploration, your generosity towards this project would be immensely appreciated. To ensure transparency and provide genuine evidence of my photography and work, I have uploaded them to a Facebook group called Abandoned Australia Derelict Houses & More. Within this group, I have shared over 350 posts and showcased over 1100 photos. Once these extraordinary buildings are demolished, or succumb to vandalism, my pictures will serve as their enduring legacy. Thank you for considering supporting this endeavour.
If you are a member of Abandoned Australia Derelict Houses & more and you purchase via the group $10 from every book sale will be donated to Suicide Prevention Australia
