Meet Captain. This handsome 5 year old German Shepherd mix has had a rough life. Abused and wondering the streets of Mexico because his family didn't care about him. We got a message last week that this boy's owner decided to tie him to the back of his truck and drag him down the streets. Dog lovers came together and took this dog to the vet where he was stabilized but still pretty critical. With an amazing foster we were able to bring this boy across the border and start treatment here. His photos are hard to look at, but this is his reality. This sweet boy desperately needs much more care than he has already been given. Despite his past and this tragic event, Captain is still full of kisses, even while his wounds are being cleaned. Captain is currently at Valley animal hospital where they are addressing his high fever and infected deep wounds. His exposed muscles and damaged heart are just a part of what we are hoping to heal.
